A dedicated Business Innovation entity

Rapid changes in the payment industry are leading to the emergence of new players and new business models. To cope with these changes, in 2022 HPS created a new business entity dedicated to Innovation Support.

The Business Innovation entity has 2 missions:

Developing the next generation of payment products, with clients and partners, by identifying, designing and experimenting with new solutions.

HPS is an open innovation platform dedicated to all HPS employees, clients, and partners to collect ideas, create value and engage stakeholders in our future product design.

We run internal and external campaigns around payment challenges and engage stakeholders to make sure we are building the right solutions for the right audiences.

PowerCARD-BI

A user-friendly data analytics tool that turns detailed payment data into simple, valuable and actionable information. The Card Issuing Program dashboard is the latest tool enhancement, co-designed with clients. By empowering clients with data, PowerCARD-BI helps improve revenues, reduce operational risks and deliver greater customer satisfaction.

Accessibility

A continuous process to enhance PowerCARD accessibility for clients and support national initiatives by identifying, recommending and testing feature improvement.

Test and scale

A program to conduct field pilot phases to test prototypes, iterate offers and promote industrialisation. Several experimentations are running with clients such as voice payment.

Sponsorship

A HPS offer for FinTechs to facilitate the launch of their card program. Choosing HPS is an accelerator for FinTechs as they have a faster way to get the sponsorship allowing them to run a card program under the top international schemes.

FinTech service

In addition to sponsorship, HPS runs several programs to offer value added services to FinTechs. At HPS we identify opportunities and design B2B2C and B2B2M offers for FinTechs by capitalising on certain levers. Such as: payment-related services, vertical specifics, identification, data and more.

Real-time payment ecosystem

CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency)

86% of central banks are currently conducting studies (or have launched a project) around Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC), so as to mitigate the risk over their monopoly to mint money. To this end, HPS offers a turnkey solution allowing any central bank to generate and operate its own digital currency.
