About INMAA

The Moroccan Institution for Micro-Enterprise Support (INMAA) is an association created in 1999 and approved by the supervisory Ministry in 2000. Its mission is to contribute to poverty reduction through microcredit programs for economically active individuals, particularly women, who need small loans to strengthen or launch income-generating activities.

Its operations cover the entire Moroccan territory, especially rural areas. In addition to solidarity-based microcredit, INMAA aims to develop new financial products tailored to specific economic sectors and to build partnerships with local, national, and international organizations to ensure complementary actions in targeted regions. INMAA’s motto is: “Fighting poverty where it is hardest to reach.”

INMAA has selected HPS

  • INMAA, a non-profit microcredit association, provides financial services and close support to Moroccan microenterprises.
  • This new partnership will enable INMAA to benefit from the PowerCARD Microfinance solution in SaaS (Software as a Service) mode, thereby digitalizing its range of financial and non-financial products and services.

Casablanca, February 25, 2021 – INMAA, a non-profit microcredit association, has selected HPS, a multinational leader in payment solutions and services, to support the digital transformation of its services through the implementation of its PowerCARD Microfinance solution.

Since its creation in 1999, INMAA has been working daily to combat financial and social exclusion by promoting the development of micro and small businesses that create jobs through microcredit. With a lending methodology adapted to rural and semi-urban contexts, as well as significant experience in managing large-scale programs, the association has distributed more than 120,000 microloans and served 70,000 clients since its inception, with over 5,000 active clients as of the end of 2020.

To support an ever-growing number of beneficiaries, INMAA was seeking a partner capable of supporting its development strategy, particularly its digital transformation.

Abdelaziz Erromani, President of INMAA

“Over the past decade, it has become clear that digital transformation is gaining momentum. For a key sector such as microfinance, this represents a major challenge that must be mastered in order to emerge stronger. It is with this in mind that partnering with HPS became essential for us, enabling the implementation of a digitalization strategy that will enhance our offering. We are pleased to take on this challenge with a major partner that fully aligns with our development strategy.”

Mohamed Horani, Chairman of HPS

“The electronic payments industry is one of the sectors most impacted by digital transformation. Thanks to digital technologies, customers are becoming more demanding and expect faster, easier-to-use, and more affordable financial services. Digitalization has naturally become a necessity for financial inclusion due to the direct benefits it brings, such as cost reduction and better control of production costs, as well as continuous innovation to meet the evolving expectations of beneficiaries. Digital tools are a powerful lever to support microfinance in both its financial and social dimensions. We are proud to support INMAA in this transformation, which will undoubtedly accelerate financial inclusion among target populations.”
